Postponement

Students who wish to postpone the start of a course must notify BLI beforehand. A new letter of acceptance will then be issued for a later date free of charge for students studying under 6 months. Students studying over 6 months will be charged $70 CAD.

Cancellations

All notices of cancellation must be given in writing by mail, fax, or e-mail stating that you intend to withdraw from the program you have registered for. The registration and the accommodation placement fees are non refundable.

If a student is obliged to cancel his/her program due to visa refusal, a complete refund will be reimbursed excluding registration fee and accommodation placement fee. Note that BLI needs to receive the Canadian original letter of refusal.

Students must fall within the following guidelines to be eligible for reimbursement:

Before program start date

a) Less than 10 days after submitting your registration · 100% of the tuition fee.
b) 31 days or more before the program starts · 70% of the tuition fee.
c) If the student cancels less than 30 days before the program start date · 60% of the tuition fee.

After program start date

a) Between 1-10% of the program · 50% of the tuition fee.
b) Between 11 – 24% of the program · 30% of the tuition fee.
c) 25% or more of the program · 0% of the tuition fee.

Students can upgrade but not downgrade their program. e.g. If the student wants to change from full time program to part time program, he/she will have to cancel the program and reapply. Cancellation policy will apply.

*If a student comes to Canada with a BLI study permit, he or she forfeits the right to all refunds.

Homestay refund

Homestay placement fee is non-refundable. Students must give 2 weeks notice in writing to the homestay coordinator if they wish to change their homestay. The first 4 weeks of homestay are non-refundable.

Time to process refund

If he/she is eligible for a refund under the conditions above, you will be reimbursed within the 45- working day period following the receipt of written notice of cancellation.

Please note that the registration fee and accommodation placement fee are non refundable under any circumstance
