PHARMACY TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE | DVS | 12 Months
Program objectives

Develop the skills necessary for the pharmacy technical assistant profession including:

  • Analyzing work functions
  • Perform pharmaceutical calculations
  • Understand the laws that apply and the standards in place
  • Adopt a preventative and safe practice

Develop the skills needed for the use of computer tools :

  • Learning pharmaceutical application software in community pharmacy and health establishment pharmacy

Develop the skills needed to communicate in the workplace, and for job search.

Develop the skills needed to perform tasks in a community setting and in a health establishment.

  • Learn about non-parenteral drugs and their particularity
  • Executing prescriptions in community pharmacies and related tasks
  • Executing prescriptions in health establishment pharmacy and related tasks
  • Make non-sterile preparations
  • Keeping stocks up

Management Programs
ACCOUNTING | DVS | 12 Months
Objective of program

To develop the following competencies necessary to practice the employment:

  • research and exchange of information
  • produce tables and graphs
  • design the visual format of a document related to accounting
  • handle requests regarding labour laws
  • organize and process data related to a company’s resources
  • insure efficiency of work.

Develop the following competencies necessary to communicate, verbally or in writing, in the work place:

  • write correspondence related to accounting in both English and French
  • interact in various professional situations
  • communicate in English in an Accounting context.

To develop the skills necessary to complete accounting tasks:

  • to interact in various professional situations
  • to calculate and prepare the bills, invoices, receipts, payments, etc. of a business
  • to manage the petty cash
  • to produce the payroll
  • to calculate prices
  • to accurately complete and verify work for daily accounting tasks
  • to complete end of fiscal period and end of year tasks
  • to produce income tax forms.

SECRETARIAL & MEDICAL ASSISTANT | DVS + ASP | 18 Months
Program’s objectives

To develop the necessary skills for the transcription and production of medical documents containing human biology terms, using general medical terminology and understanding cellular activity, human body functions, movement and the nervous system, and to produce medical documents.

Develop the skills needed to communicate and interact in the workplace.

To develop the necessary skills for the reception of users and the preparation and upkeep of patient files. Develop the skills needed to manage medical supplies and accounting operations related to medical procedures.

This program is offered in English or French.

SECRETARIAL & LEGAL ASSISTANT | DVS + ASP | 18 Months
Program’s objectives

Develop the necessary skills to communicate in a legal environment such as: 

Interacting in a legal work context and using English terminology specific to the legal field.

Developing the necessary skills for the drafting and seizure of civil proceedings such as: filing the documents of ordinary civil procedure, applications and registrations, preparing a disputed file in family law and a notebook and authorities.

Develop the skills needed to prepare business documents in order to set up and update a company.

Develop the necessary skills for the editing and seizure of notarial documents and documents in general and those relating to contentious matters.

This program is offered in English or French.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to this program you must:

  • Have a High School diploma
  • Have successfully completed BLI English Level 7 or French Level 6
  • Be at least 18 years old

  • A copy of a valid passport
  • A copy of your birth certificate in English or French, notarized and translated
  • A copy of your high school diploma and transcript in English or French, notarized and translated
  • A copy of your CAQ
  • A copy of your study permit
  • Proof of French level (BLI level or Official exam)
