Commission scolaire des Découvreurs was created in 1986 following the merger of the Commission scolaire de Sainte-Foy and the Commission scolaire régionale de Tilly.

For the 2018-2019 school year, it provided educational services to nearly 13,000 primary and secondary school students and approximately 4,595 vocational training and adult education students.

Its students are divided into 22 schools, including 14 primary schools, 3 secondary schools, 1 primary-secondary school, 2 vocational training centres, 1 adult education centre, 1 teaching unit and 1 special school for disabled students.

The territory of the Commission scolaire des Découvreurs includes part of the Capitale-Nationale region, namely the Borough of Sainte-Foy-Sillery-Cap-Rouge as well as the cities of Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures and L’Ancienne-Lorette (approximately 135,000 people).

COMPUTER GRAPHICS - DEP - 1800 HOURS 17 MONTHS

In computer graphics, students learn to use shapes, colours, photos, typography and illustrations in order to persuade and communicate a message. To do this, you must master the right tools.

Our graduates distinguish themselves in the job market by their good knowledge of illustration, image processing, print and screen publishing and web page creation software. The new program will allow them to develop specific skills for digital media.
This individualized teaching training places the student at the centre of his or her learning. In this way, he develops autonomy and organizational skills.

COMPUTER SUPPORT - DEP - 1800 HOURS 17 MONTHS

Are you interested in computers and want to acquire a solid foundation in software, hardware and networking? The computer support program will meet your expectations.
Graduates will be competent to solve problems in all these areas of activity. Whether you want to work manually in a workshop, help users or maintain networks, you will find in this training an opportunity to achieve your full potential.
As technologies evolve rapidly, this training will be the starting point for continuous learning.

JEWELRY MAKING - DEP - 1800 HOURS 17 MONTHS

Enjoy training that is truly focused on the needs of the labour market. The learning environment, the quality of the technical equipment and the exercises adapted to reality will ensure that you develop your knowledge in a realistic and stimulating production context.

BUILDING DESIGN - DEP - 1800 HOURS 17/28 MONTHS

Passionate about construction and computer work? Become a building draftsman thanks to this training course designed to satisfy the most demanding employers.
You will learn to use advanced drawing software to create architectural, structural and mechanical building plans in a context that combines teacher training and on-the-job training.

To be admitted to this program you must:

  • Have a High School diploma
  • Have an Official French B2
  • Be at least 18 years old
