ESTIMATE UNDER CONSTRUCTION I DEC I 1650 HOURS I 16 MONTHS I

The Building Estimation and Appraisal Technology program, a specialization in construction appraisal, aims to train people who are qualified to work as construction appraisers, primarily in the residential, institutional, commercial and industrial sectors. The main professional responsibilities of a construction estimator include:

  • the preparation of estimates of the likely costs of materials, labour, equipment and subcontracting for construction projects based on the contract offres, specifications, diagrams and specifications
  • advice on appeal procedures at offres, review and analysis of appeals at offres and recommendations for contract negotiation and conclusion; implementation of cost monitoring and reporting
  • the development and maintenance of a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
  • communications and consultations with engineers, architects, contractors and subcontractors
  • management and coordination of construction projects
REAL ESTATE VALUATION I DEC I 1650 HOURS I 16 MONTHS I

The Building Appraisal and Appraisal Technology program, specializing in Real Estate Appraisal, aims to train individuals who are qualified to practice as real estate appraisal technologists. The main professional responsibilities of a real estate appraisal technologist include:

  • the inspection and calculation of the value of a building, land and building for residential, agricultural, commercial, industrial and institutional purposes
  • the application of valuation methods: the cost method, the comparison method and the income method
  • analysis of the impact of laws and regulations on the value of a property
  • the application of laws and regulations relating to real estate valuation
  • participation in the determination of the value of a property
  • updating of evaluation files

3D ANIMATION TECHNIQUES & IMAGE SYNTHESIS I DEC I 2040 HOURS I 16 MONTHS I

The 3D animation and image synthesis techniques program trains 3D animation specialists capable of modelling and animating computer-generated images. These specialists will work in animation and television studios and in companies specializing in 3D animation, games, post-production and special effects production.

At the end of their training, graduates of this program will be able to

TV PRODUCTION TECHNIQUES & POST-PRODUCTION I DEC I 1965 HOURS I 16 MONTHS I

The Television Production and Post-Production Techniques program will provide in-depth training in technical work functions in television and film production or post-production.

By mastering all the stages of production such as TV shows, film, advertising, series, reports and documentaries, and by knowing the complete functioning of a studio and a film set, you will be able to fill the jobs of:

  • Cameraman, television cameraman, ENG cameraman
  • Image editor, sound editor, visual effects editor
  • Stage Manager/Chief of Stage
  • Switchman/Director
  • Photo Director
  • Lighting designer, sound recorder
  • 1st assistant
  • Data wrangler
Admission Requirements

To be admitted to this program you must:

  • Have a bachelor degree
  • Have successfully completed BLI French level 10
  • Be at least 18 years old
Documents
  • A copy of a valid passport
  • A copy of your birth certificate in English or French, notarized and translated
  • A copy of your Bachelor degree and transcript in English or French, notarized and translated
  • A copy of CAQ
  • A copy of the study permit
  • Proof of French level (BLI level or Official exam)
