The Commission Scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys (CSMB) is the second largest school network in Quebec with more than 75,000 students, 48,000 of whom are in elementary and secondary schools, in 102 schools (75 elementary schools, 14 high schools, 3 specialized schools, 6 vocational training centres and 4 adult education centres). The CSMB is one of five school boards on the island of Montreal (Quebec, Canada). It is governed by a council of 13 commissioners and a presidency elected by universal suffrage, as well as by four commissioners representing parents. The latter are appointed by the Central Parents’ Committee; their term of office is one year. Diane Lamarche-Venne is the current president of the CSMB.
