BLI has been teaching English and French in Canada for more than 50 years. Around 6,000 students a year pass through our schools in Montreal and Quebec City, and every one of them is looked after by a small team — teachers, advisors, coordinators, the person at the front desk who remembers their name.
We hire for attitude and for languages. Most of our team speaks three or more, and nearly all of them have lived abroad themselves — which is why they understand what a student walking in on their first week is going through.
BLI Canada is an equal opportunity employer.
Where we hire
Teaching — English and French instructors for our Montreal and Quebec City campuses, and for online classes. TESL or equivalent certification.
Admissions and sales — advisors who work with students and with our agent network across Latin America, Brazil and Asia. Languages matter here more than anywhere else.
Student services and activities — the people who run the afternoon programs, the weekend trips and the arrival of every new group.
Reception and administration — front desk, registrations, documents, and the daily life of the school.
Accommodation — homestay coordination and the relationship with our host families.
Seasonal — junior programs — every summer, winter and spring we run programs for teenagers, and we hire a temporary team for each one: teachers, activity leaders, group monitors and supervisors. These are fixed-term contracts of a few weeks, and they are the way most of our year-round staff started.
We have no permanent positions open right now.
Seasonal hiring for the junior programs runs on its own cycle, a few months before each season. Either way, send us your CV and tell us which area fits you — we keep applications on file and go back to them first when something opens.
