Three weeks in Montréal for teens who want more than a summer camp. Mornings: English or French classes. Afternoons: leadership, public speaking and teamwork workshops. And every week, campers plan and run real FLAP events for the whole camp.

By the end of the three weeks, every camper can do these things in English or French.
Present for 3 to 5 minutes, with a clear structure and without reading.
Tasks, timing, roles and a plan B.
Share roles, decide as a group and solve a disagreement without an adult stepping in.
Communicate with teens from other countries and adapt their style.
Say what went well, what didn't, and what they would do differently.
Three personal goals on day one, reviewed on the last day.
Defend an idea with arguments and answer the other side with respect.
Spot a real problem and pitch a solution that could work.
Every week, Leadership campers plan and run real events for the whole FLAP camp, with a FLAP leader always in charge of safety.
They welcome the new FLAP campers who arrive each Sunday.
They help the staff run it and learn how an event comes together.
They run it: line-up, stage, hosts and timing.
They design and run it for all of FLAP.
They plan their own goodbye.
Each week has one focus. The other skills are practised every day.
Leadership styles, personal goals, feedback, first presentations.
Teamwork, solving conflicts, planning events. Teams choose the problem for their final project.
Debate and persuasion, pitching, final project and goal review.
