Learn English or French form the comfort of your home.  If you have been affected by the current worldwide situation, you can start your program at home and finish it in Canada once everything is back to normal.

BLI offers a wide variety of language programs to suit the needs of every learner.  With a wide range of schedules and options, we can take you from basic communication to advanced academic proficiency through engaging and dynamic lessons delivered by experienced teachers who understand your motivations and objectives.

If you don’t have any plans to come to Canada in the future, you can benefit of it as well.

20 hours online + 10 hours offline per weekEnglish Intensive Plus

Accelerate your learning process through specialized ESL/FSL classes. Through a combination of Task-Based Learning and traditional skills lessons. You will develop your fluency and accuracy through workshops designed to help you improve your oral communication skills.

By combining virtual learning , online collaboration and self-study  you will be able to achieve your goals and reach the language level you need.

Before starting your program you will be required to take BLI online placement test so that we can place you in the right level.  You can access BLI tests through your computer, phone or Ipad.

Common European Framework of Reference for LanguagesOur Levels

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is an international standard for describing language ability. It describes language ability on a six-point scale, from A1 for beginners, up to C2 for those who have mastered a language.

Our curriculum has been structured based on the CEFR.

At this level you can:
  1. understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases.

  2. Introduce yourself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details .

  3. Interact with other people in a simple way.

At this level you can:
  1. Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance

  2. Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.

  3. Can describe in simple terms aspects of your background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

At this level you can:
  1. Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.

  2. Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling

  3. Can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest.

  4. Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

At this level you can:
  1. Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization.

  2. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.

  3. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

At this level you can:
  1. Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meaning.

  2. Can express ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions.

  3. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.

  4. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

At this level you can:
  1. Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read.

  2. Can summarize information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation.

  3. Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations.
