What they'll learn

Skills they'll use for life.

By the end of the three weeks, every camper can do these things in English or French.

Speak in public

Present for 3 to 5 minutes, with a clear structure and without reading.

Plan and lead a real event

Tasks, timing, roles and a plan B.

Work in an international team

Share roles, decide as a group and solve a disagreement without an adult stepping in.

Lead across cultures

Communicate with teens from other countries and adapt their style.

Give and take feedback

Say what went well, what didn't, and what they would do differently.

Set goals and track them

Three personal goals on day one, reviewed on the last day.

Debate and persuade

Defend an idea with arguments and answer the other side with respect.

Think like an entrepreneur

Spot a real problem and pitch a solution that could work.

Lead for real

They don't just learn leadership. They do it.

Every week, Leadership campers plan and run real events for the whole FLAP camp, with a FLAP leader always in charge of safety.

Final project & certificate

A pitch, a panel, a certificate.

In teams of 3 or 4, campers find a real problem at camp or in Montréal and pitch a solution to a panel on their last day.
